ACCOUNTABILITY – With Your Health, Wellness

ACCOUNTABILITY IS THE MISSING INGREDIENT…, THE ABSOLUTE REQUIREMENT

If you desire to be healthy, and you are not where you desire to be, then it’s your lack of commitment, so get a program with ACCOUNTABILITY!

Fat, flabby, soft, unfit, sickly, lazy, tired, depressed…it’s all your decisions, actions or “lack of actions,” and your diet. ….No one holding you accountable??

Fact, the vast majority of people have never ever known or even come close to knowing what it is like, to feel “truly healthy!”

No, they have not, not even close, and why? Because the vast majority of programs, for health and fitness never incorporate enough factors, with enough proper applications to get the real and or full results available!

Everyone uses the lie, yes “LIE,” “the, oh, I eat healthy!”  SORRY…….WRONG!

Most individuals, “immediately want acceptance,” so they answer to what they believe will give them acceptance of who’s there at that moment!

No, most do not even start to have a clue, let alone get a grasp on what eating healthy really is, especially Doctors, Nurses, and even nutritionist!

Think about it, IF…IF…nutritionist were actually knowledgeable, people in hospitals would be getting well and walking out healed! But it is a known fact, that even diabetics have to stay on their medications even under the care of nutritionist in the hospitals! This says so much, and it isn’t good!

People go to Doctors seeking a cure, yet the Doctors cannot even tell people most of the time “how they got their condition,” or “what exactly caused their state of unhealth!” So, who’s stupid here?

The individuals who need to seek the Doctors constantly, are the same individuals who lack preventive measures, self-care, and self-maintenance! They usually have their self-will running riot!

If an individual, calls a person on not taking precautions, or not eating healthy, that person saying “that something,” runs the risk of being ridiculed, hated, belittled, told they are being judgmental, and much worse!

No, today helping anyone, especially helping them with “their accountability” for their own health, can run the better than not risk of being hated, ostracized, and shunned! When in reality, true care, is to speak the total truth, in well intent, for the long-term good of the others!

Arrogance it’s “contempt,” prior to investigation, and arrogance is running riot in today’s society! Especially in this time of the “internet,” when most think they know everything, about everything! Just try listening closely, to the responses people give when told or given any advice.

People pay professionals for guidance and then try telling the professionals “how they want the professional to help,” and how the work should be done! So, accountability is almost always met with denial, contempt, and a view of arrogance, in place of acceptance!

The number one obvious fact is, “that if, what the person thought worked, they would not be in the shape or position they are in!”

So if an individual truly desires “change, results, or a different outcome,” they need to hire a professional who has plenty of proof!

This applies to, fitness, sports, weight loss, health, healing, rehabilitation, and as well to coaches, trainers instructors, teachers…..EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE…!!!

Then trust, and comply with that professional, or at least shut up, and allow the professional to speak, direct, and then do what the professional directs them to do!

Remember, if a person is having an undesired effect in a specific area, it is usually because of what is being done, is not what needs to be done!

So, hire a professional, then allow them to do their job, by helping them with your compliance!

Accountability is imperative to stay within the guidelines for the proper outcomes, help by listening, and doing what is being asked!

Put the EGO aside, get humble, have trust, and realize what you thought you knew, “didn’t work!”

Exercise – Lacking Results .…. 99+% of programs don’t have a clue….

The above statement is actually, factually, “being kind”…..

IGNORANCE, is “the lack of knowledge!”  This lack of knowledge or actual facts, along with incorrect applications is “the greatest problem” in getting actual, measurable, and continual results with exercise programs, and health!

This lack of facts and correct applications is due to “EGO!” Ego says to one’s self, “I’m doing it right,” I am right in what I am doing, “I know!”

After all, in honesty most everyone uses the approach of just “watch others,” and surely they know, or they have it down, I’ll do that! …..WRONG!

People continue doing the same thing day in and day out, without “more results” and one has to ask themselves, “what is everyone doing?” I mean, really? Doing the same thing over and over, while expecting a different result, is insanity!

If someone was able to become informed, and the requirements for more serious results “required change,” most would not change what they were doing, due to looking very different! After all, the “accepted way” or style, is “accepted,” and people want to be “accepted,” and especially  to not “look different!” 

Why aren’t coaches, trainers, individuals not getting more results for all the time they spend?

What is going on with those who spend so much time exercising, and yet have little to no real noticeable changes or improvements?

Is it their lack of facts, or is it their applications? Could it be that they think they know, and their “arrogance and ego” keeps them form a different thinking? I believe it keeps them from even researching and being open.

This massive problem of going to the gym, and not getting more results is actually a plague of “Ego,” the “I know,” plus the, I am at least going to the gym, and I am NOT WRONG!

I believe after almost 50 years in gyms and health clubs, it’s LAZY! Yes, lazy, sloth, not being willing to do any research because, after all that would take “an effort!”

Arrogance, is defined as “contempt prior to investigation!” This is at least a huge part of the problem, just try asking anyone of these types, “what are the physiological facts behind your method?” Get ready to be “hated!” How dare you question that, after all “everyone does it this way!” Right here, the point will be made, proven! (seriously, watch their face when asking)

Most individuals are exercising “too much” (volume, amount), yet they are not exercising with enough effort (intensity)! Remember exercise is called a “work out,” not an “easy out,” or a “fun out!”

If an individual truly increases “intensity of effort” into exercise, they will not be able to perform at length! Another not thought of fact is, when effort or intensity is increased, time (rest) and requirements (nutrition) for recovery must be considered!

Know this, that when a program for improved health and performance “is balanced correctly,” that measured results can, and will happen on a steady basis! Results can be actually predicted, tested, and proven continuously! True Professionals and professional programs can actually predict, measure, test, and keep results continuing with “working knowledge!”

THERE ARE ONLY TWO TYPES OF EXERCISE…

Defective or Ego Self centered exercise, or Measurable, and Factual based proven Exercise.

Yes, everyone has their favorite, their preferred way of moving around to call it exercise!

Just because someone likes or prefers a certain type of movements, speed of

movement, or style of movement, does not make it actual “exercise!”

There is RECREATION, the action or process of creating something again, by Webster’s.

There is EXERCISE, activity requiring physical effort, carried out especially to improve or sustain a level of physical performance of health and fitness, by Webster’s.

There is exercise that demonstrates strength and is “ballistic” in performance as in competitive lifts. Then there is strength exercise which is for building or increasing strength which is the Proper Way to exercise, these types should not be confused!

Then there are the actual physiological facts that must be utilized to create measurable results. These facts can be effectively and efficiently used to guarantee predictable, measurable, repeatable, and sustainable results!

There are the EGO-MANIACS, who claim things like Cross Fit is the best or the effective way to gain strength or endurance, wrong!            

There are those who will swear by Orange Theory, wrong, there are those who swear yoga is exercise, wrong! None of these previous types of wishful programs can produce as mush results, in the shortest time, like true “PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE TRAINING.”

NOTE: If…If, full range movements, with proper applications or distance, resistance, timing, and sequence are used, resistance training is the most effective and efficient way to produce strength, endurance, cardio vascular, and metabolic benefits or increases!

Individuals most often change exercise programs because of staleness, or the lack of continuing results! The problem with staleness or lack of results has little to do with the actual exercise!

There are three major factors that must be balanced by a Coach or Trainer. The three factors are, 1 exercise, 2 nutrition, 3 rest / sleep. Nutrition is the “materials” that actually form and repair the new tissues! Rest or sleep allows for materials to actually be “put in place.” Rest or time also allows for materials to be accumulated, processed, and readied to put into place!

Exercise is the stimulus, or the triggering for growth or increases in strength! Exercise needs to be intense, brief, effective, all the while allowing for the other process’s to work for making the measurable results!

Exercise can, should produce predictable, measurable, results if…IF…ALL THE FACTS ARE UTILIZED WITH KNOWLEDGE!

When a person does an exercise program it should be able to reasonably predict the results, even if the program needs adjustments, those adjustments, should be incremented, measured, and the outcome quite predictable, if facts are used!

When an exercise program cannot predict out comes, it is self evident that there is a need for working knowledge and applications! This is what fraud is!

Note: IF a program does not use multiple tests, measurements, and planned processes it is not worth putting you time, money and energy into! It is “unprofessional!”

There are tons of so called experts out there, until you start demanding measurable results, then the field is pretty much cleared! (this is what “ResultsAreProof.com” is NOT)

Anything can be engineered, through, facts, measured applications, consistency, if one is willing to slow down and methodically engineer a prescribed plan!

So if results are the goal, then facts, with knowledge, precise applications should produce measurable results!

The list of requirements for continuing results…

Facts…

Correct – efficient applications,

Measurements, foods (nutrients or supplements), exercise, logging,

Testing,….

Adjusting,…

Preplanning, … etc., etc., etc.

When someone cannot consistently measure progressive results “overtraining” or over stimulating is a typical problem! It is always better to error on the side of more recovery (meaning more nutrients, and rest/time off) than on the side of more exercise or stress!

What kind of program are you on, what type of trainer do you have, is your health being compromised! Remember for most coaches or trainers, the money is what the message is about, nor keeping the client training rather than the client’s progress!

After 43+ years working in this field it has gone backwards not forward, meaning more ego, less intelligent methods, even less health, and much less working knowledge!

“The Unconsidered”…… in fitness, exercise, and sports  

When “fitness, sports, athletics” became top of mind, there is a usually an overlooked serious consideration! This serious consideration has been, ”what does the body dictate!”

More,  is and has been an attitude with exercise, fitness, sports, and athletic training, along with, “whatever it takes!” Yet, if one stands back, removes the ego, slows down, and opens their mind, major serious, benefits  can and will happen!

First, and foremost “ego has reigned,” in the exercise arena for decades!  This meaning, that “more” is better, and almost compulsory for improvement, as is common thought and practice! When in reality, “more” leads to overtraining!” Overtraining can be easily avoided, if, yes a big “IF,” most individuals could get their “ego” and the idea of “more is always better” out of their ways!  (putting ego aside is near impossible)

Research, and scientific fact has shown that recovery, “full recovery” form training is the only time “when” performance is increased, not during the recovery, but after “full recovery” has taken place!

This is saying this…your bodies “Response Mechanisms, Are Unable To Adequately Respond!” (showing increases)

This isn’t just “overtraining,” this is actually depleting your health!

Weight loss, the biggest money game in health and fitness, and it is not about health either!

Weight loss is usually about that overwhelming desire to be thinner, slimmer, trimmer, leaner and or “looking fit” NOW! Beware for the services seeking to help, money is too often the motivator!

As I wrote about it in my book, “The Great Fitness Fraud,” weight loss is usually “finally triggered” by one of three things slapping us into reality giving us true vision and that old reality check. I came to notice excess weight or fat is not quickly put on, nor happens overnight, not literally anyway! Extreme excess weight or fat is accumulated by several factors compounding additional weight gain!

The reality of excessive gain is it came about through NOT having a baby, nor the in-laws coming for a visit, nor was it the holidays, nor was it anything except “a person’s desires to have what they want, when they want it, and of course HOW they want it. It is about mental or physical sensations, and obsessions. Again, so called services for weight loss are about their money!

The three main motivators which trigger the individual to get going or make a move to lose the weight or fat are first, going to the closet to go somewhere special to wear, realizing there are “no clothes that work,” or meaning the person realizes they are up yet another size! Of course the reality of what they have been doing or not doing, has just now come home to their reality.

The next motivator is going to a party or social event where some person took a picture of them and they show the individual the picture. All of us are guilty of not always seeing something about ourselves. But the idea of not being able to see ourselves the way others see us, is best captured on a video or in a photo. When this person sees the reality in the picture, that inner shock of “the true image” is or can be a profound jolt.

The third way individuals seem to be greatly effected is the one that can be the most shocking. It is when they are at the Doctor’s office and the Doctor says, “this is about living or dying.” This is usually the strongest motivator and is even often not heard at the level needed, sad yet true.

Now let us consider the truth of what is desired here, which is usually emotionally decided. It is, “Oh my Gawd,” I have to do something right now! That drive from fear, disgust, frustration, shame, guilt or whatever, comes almost every time out of an EMOTIONAL RESPONSE. The decision is almost always emotionally driven, rather than one from a good, sound, logical, practical, planned, and referenced place.

This emotional decision drives us to immediate action, therefore all critical considerations are out the window so to speak. What most of these individuals do is something, anything, and they tend to do it right now. This emotionally driven immediate decision is what every weight loss business gears its marketing towards. This is why there are so many long term failures in these programs. It is about the businesses’ money and not the client’s long term benefit or about the client’s health. That is the reason why there are so many programs, all guaranteeing more weight loss, yet if actually looked at almost all are failures and lack keeping it off!

NOTE : Considerations for finding a true weight (FAT) loss program

1) Stop, breathe, slow down and let the emotion, panic or whatever subside.

2) Does the program you want, have proven long term success?

3) Does the program guarantee only fat is lost and not lean? (They should prove this through N.I.R. body composition or hydrostatic weighing.)

4) Does the program guarantee no cravings because nutrients are balanced ?

5) Does the program guarantee no hunger because blood sugar is balanced?

6) Is this program “diabetic safe” meaning it is physician endorsed? When a program is diabetic safe, and has tested proof, you are on a better course!

 

7) Does this program teach the basics of learning the whats, whys, and hows so that its clients learn a lifestyle to keep the weight off?

Too often individuals make hasty decisions leaving them without the tools to take charge of their health! BEWARE of programs offering fast visible external results without verified tested proof!

Fast visible external results can cause long term internal debilitating problems!

A program should teach facts, be motivating, do a lot of explaining, and especially be able to forecast progress ! A quality program will have many examples of success, with many long term examples to check with!

In other words, it is supplying the information to cause value judgments and changes within a person’s value system to continue good decisions and prevent future problems.

Beware, taking time to truly evaluate what you will be getting, it’s about your long term  health!

EXCUSES,….. like thyroid,….a drug, ..NO.

NO excuses, NONE….There are facts though…

FACT:
Every, yes every pound of fat, on anyone’s body, requires an EXCESS of 3500 calories!
Yes, EVERY pound, took AN EXTRA 3500 calories more than was needed! That is very close to 350 JUMBO EGG’S! ….That should “hatch” some new visuals, of the excess fat requires!

SO, NO EXCUSES, for NO ONE…!
Fat does not walk around hunting or looking for someone to, “JUMP ON!” FAT CANNOT “JUST HAPPEN!”  OH, and if they say it is “baby fat,” give it back to the baby!

FACT: It took the overweight, fat, obese, or absurdly overweight person, to put their hand to their mouth,….YES … with calories in it, to get that so unhealthy and overweight!

So, when anyone says “anything else,” you know they are lying, right when their mouth starts moving with any other laughable excuse!

Facts are facts, overweight is overindulged, or has over consumed, over eaten by 3500 calories per pound! No other possibility should be even considered!

Overweight is about “selfishness,” or caring more about “what one wants, now” rather than some other ridiculous excuse! This condition does not have to be a continuum!

There are programs that are “a true lifestyle, that will give all the details,” so that an individual can solve the obesity problem for life, IF, IF, THEY TRULY WANT FREE OF THIS CONDITION!
