The “MOST IMPORTANT EXERCISE FACT……TO KNOW,…. EVER!”

If, yes, “IF” a person, instructor, coach, trainer or any individual were to learn the particulars of this fact in this article, they could quickly become one of the winningest coaches of all time in their physical performance endeavors, fact!

In my years for human physical performance and healing this is the greatest point, or marker for knowing more about physical performance than most can even conceive! But ego, controls most, so most will lose out on a guaranteed way to predict, repeat, and sustain results at the highest degree! (remember ego stands for “Edging God Out”)

Understand the following:

One fact tells all that is needed to know on how to get measurable results from any exercise!

One fact tells if a workout was effective!          

One fact tells when a person is ready for another hard work out!

One fact tells when a person is working out too much, or too often, or too hard!

One fact tells when your body is truly recovered! (only if ego is in control)

One fact tells what 99+% of all coaches never know and never use and never learn to let it help win!

One fact tells when your body is ready for a peak performance!

One fact tells if your athletic performance was a “full effort or a lesser effort!”

One fact tells if your body is being attacked with an illness or virus!

One fact tells you about just how much actual “effort” anything you do takes!

With “this one simple fact known” on a constant basis, a person can know all of the above!

Imagine what this can mean to a coach? Imagine what this can mean to anyone or any athlete professional or amateur? Imagine what this could mean to a person who has been fighting an illness that returns at will so to speak? Imagine what this could mean to so many individuals? Top performance every time and knowing it!

But mostly ask yourself this, why, WHY, don’t more of us know this? Could it be just lack of attention? Could this be missing from so-called common knowledge because it is a “marker” that could be a “hassle to bother with?” Could this be a fact that is not fully realized? Could this be something that could be a real trouble to get athletes to “pay attention to” as well as everyone else? Could it be that if it were more known, it would reveal the “imposters of coaching and medicine,” because it will! And it does!

In my forty-three plus years of working in the human performance and physical health field, this marker has become one of, if not the most reliable fact. The success in dealing with everything from sickness to athletic performance has relied strongly on this one fact. This fact is or should be the “HOLY GRAIL” of all sports performance, from strength to endurance, and from actual effort to perceived effort!

This fact, this “marker,” when taught in depth and in mass to the public, has the potential to change the “GAME” of coaching for the entire rest of time! This fact and marker “are taught in some limited depth and width in my book,” “The Great Fitness Fraud” available on AMAZON.COM.

THERE ARE ONLY TWO TYPES OF EXERCISE…

Defective or Ego Self centered exercise, or Measurable, and Factual based proven Exercise.

Yes, everyone has their favorite, their preferred way of moving around to call it exercise!

Just because someone likes or prefers a certain type of movements, speed of

movement, or style of movement, does not make it actual “exercise!”

There is RECREATION, the action or process of creating something again, by Webster’s.

There is EXERCISE, activity requiring physical effort, carried out especially to improve or sustain a level of physical performance of health and fitness, by Webster’s.

There is exercise that demonstrates strength and is “ballistic” in performance as in competitive lifts. Then there is strength exercise which is for building or increasing strength which is the Proper Way to exercise, these types should not be confused!

Then there are the actual physiological facts that must be utilized to create measurable results. These facts can be effectively and efficiently used to guarantee predictable, measurable, repeatable, and sustainable results!

There are the EGO-MANIACS, who claim things like Cross Fit is the best or the effective way to gain strength or endurance, wrong!            

There are those who will swear by Orange Theory, wrong, there are those who swear yoga is exercise, wrong! None of these previous types of wishful programs can produce as mush results, in the shortest time, like true “PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE TRAINING.”

NOTE: If…If, full range movements, with proper applications or distance, resistance, timing, and sequence are used, resistance training is the most effective and efficient way to produce strength, endurance, cardio vascular, and metabolic benefits or increases!

Individuals most often change exercise programs because of staleness, or the lack of continuing results! The problem with staleness or lack of results has little to do with the actual exercise!

There are three major factors that must be balanced by a Coach or Trainer. The three factors are, 1 exercise, 2 nutrition, 3 rest / sleep. Nutrition is the “materials” that actually form and repair the new tissues! Rest or sleep allows for materials to actually be “put in place.” Rest or time also allows for materials to be accumulated, processed, and readied to put into place!

Exercise is the stimulus, or the triggering for growth or increases in strength! Exercise needs to be intense, brief, effective, all the while allowing for the other process’s to work for making the measurable results!

Exercise can, should produce predictable, measurable, results if…IF…ALL THE FACTS ARE UTILIZED WITH KNOWLEDGE!

When a person does an exercise program it should be able to reasonably predict the results, even if the program needs adjustments, those adjustments, should be incremented, measured, and the outcome quite predictable, if facts are used!

When an exercise program cannot predict out comes, it is self evident that there is a need for working knowledge and applications! This is what fraud is!

Note: IF a program does not use multiple tests, measurements, and planned processes it is not worth putting you time, money and energy into! It is “unprofessional!”

There are tons of so called experts out there, until you start demanding measurable results, then the field is pretty much cleared! (this is what “ResultsAreProof.com” is NOT)

Anything can be engineered, through, facts, measured applications, consistency, if one is willing to slow down and methodically engineer a prescribed plan!

So if results are the goal, then facts, with knowledge, precise applications should produce measurable results!

The list of requirements for continuing results…

Facts…

Correct – efficient applications,

Measurements, foods (nutrients or supplements), exercise, logging,

Testing,….

Adjusting,…

Preplanning, … etc., etc., etc.

When someone cannot consistently measure progressive results “overtraining” or over stimulating is a typical problem! It is always better to error on the side of more recovery (meaning more nutrients, and rest/time off) than on the side of more exercise or stress!

What kind of program are you on, what type of trainer do you have, is your health being compromised! Remember for most coaches or trainers, the money is what the message is about, nor keeping the client training rather than the client’s progress!

After 43+ years working in this field it has gone backwards not forward, meaning more ego, less intelligent methods, even less health, and much less working knowledge!

“The Unconsidered”…… in fitness, exercise, and sports  

When “fitness, sports, athletics” became top of mind, there is a usually an overlooked serious consideration! This serious consideration has been, ”what does the body dictate!”

More,  is and has been an attitude with exercise, fitness, sports, and athletic training, along with, “whatever it takes!” Yet, if one stands back, removes the ego, slows down, and opens their mind, major serious, benefits  can and will happen!

First, and foremost “ego has reigned,” in the exercise arena for decades!  This meaning, that “more” is better, and almost compulsory for improvement, as is common thought and practice! When in reality, “more” leads to overtraining!” Overtraining can be easily avoided, if, yes a big “IF,” most individuals could get their “ego” and the idea of “more is always better” out of their ways!  (putting ego aside is near impossible)

Research, and scientific fact has shown that recovery, “full recovery” form training is the only time “when” performance is increased, not during the recovery, but after “full recovery” has taken place!

“Overtraining” is seeing or realizing slower or no measurable increases in performance!

This is saying this…your bodies “Response Mechanisms, Are Unable To Adequately Respond!” (showing increases)

This isn’t just “overtraining,” this is actually depleting your health!

 (So most will not heed this, because they are so insecure, yet have too much ego to listen)

Realize this is about physiological facts, buy ego, runs people’s arrogance to continue in their ignorance….(people will viciously protect their ignorance)! Meaning “they do not want to hear anything different” than what they are doing, “because it takes effort to listen, the effort to think about change,” and that “possibly” could be seen as them being wrong!

One set of an exercise is adequate, if the exercise is pushed to a point of stimulus for response or momentary muscular failure. More is actually unnecessary and only wastes recovery ability slowing progress! If more exercise is better or more sets, then why don’t people just work out all day, every day? Exercise is actually a stress, or a stimulus to hopefully bring forth a positive response. Ego is a possibility here.

(why waste your efforts, because You Are So Insecure, admit it….and You did not use enough effort on what you did…see,  insecure!) SARCASM

The body is a complete unit, it needs to be rested as a whole unit, fed as a whole unit, and exercised as a whole unit. One cannot just feed the lower body one day, and feed the upper body the next day! Nor can a person just sleep the lower body one day and the upper body the next. The body must have time to accumulate recovery materials (adequate nutrients) to have a positive benefit in the form of results. Exercise does not “make” the results, the materials or nutrients do.

( think about it, but you probably know more than physiologist, and will make your body do what science can’t, right… ) SARCASM

 

Cardio exercise should be performed after, resistance exercise. By doing cardio after resistance exercise the body receives the benefit of elevated heart rate during resistance training that lowers glucose levels. Due to these lowered glucose levels fat burning during cardio increases faster. The body also receives the benefit of removing oxidized materials from resistance exercise due to the cardio being performed after resistance exercise.

Ego or Intelligence, ….it’s New Years resolution time, …..

People go around telling everyone how they are into health! Most people are flat out deluded, laughable, funny, actually stupid!

Many brag about their exercise programs and their “trainers!” Please, braggers, have you got actual measurable, tested, proven results?

Most people “want to believe they are in shape,” yet most, I do mean most, are in bad shape, unless round is a “good shape” and are they are again actually self deluded!

What does HEALTHY mean? To most it means that they “TRY” to eat well, when “most all” don’t even know what good or healthy eating is, factually speaking!

They are either “over fat,” or “bare minimal shape!” Most doing all the proclaiming are in need of reassurance that they are doing something, actually anything, “to mentally justify the money,” they are spending on their trainer or health programs and diets!

Why isn’t anyone actually testing through, photos, measurements, and body composition? Why not, it is simple, because the program directors, or trainers are incompetent in knowledge and especially proper applications of real fact delivering methods!

Why not make a resolution to get a factual, proven , tested, and do-able lifestyle program that will last! It does not take any longer to learn the facts, than it does a lie! The only difference may be that when you learn the lie, you will have wasted time on the lie!

Most all trainers have EGO’S, that way, way, surpass their abilities! Most are legends in their own minds! Want proof?

Does your trainer actually see dietary logs you write “every time” you see them?

Did your trainer actually layout specifics of what to eat, when to eat, how much to eat?

Did your trainer actually layout specific supplements to INSURE that you are covered minimally nutritionally?

Did your trainer ask you for your “resting heart rate every day” or any other specifics?

Com’on, who’s kidding who here? These are just a few of the facts that need to be checked and tested to make sure things work for real results and to make it truly about your health!

 You NEED to get yourself on the scale every day?

Do you take some supplements that you know for sure are working, and take them on a regular basis?

Do you do your exercise on a regular basis and do you know “actually guarantee” your program is actually being “progressive” with measurable results?

Com’on we all can see they reality of 99.9% of what’s really going on, little to zero in almost all cases!

In today’s world there is a lot of great information to enable you to get fast, measurable, predictable, and repeatable results! It is that time again, for that old new year’s resolution! Why not make it a “restitution of you” and your physical vehicle ”the body you are in” by getting the facts and caring for yourself, the right way with accountability!

Why not get a fact based program, that is truly grounded in “what works,” with actual working knowledge and accountability? Your health is the point, do it right, yes it is just as easy to do it once and right, than to be disappointed and have to keep doing it over!

In reality, no one should have to “redo their health every year,” at the first of the year or any other time. This idea of a new years resolution of diet and exercise should not be! If a person was properly taught, of proper eating and exercise that is effective, there should be a lifestyle developed that would last!

Take the time to get the facts, and the applications, so your health is an applied working system of habits that are created from that “factual based inner value system” of knowing what is important and why it needs to be done!

You can do it once and do it right or you can keep doing it over with frustration and disappointment! Choose!

Make learning for life the priority, it does not take any longer to read truth than fiction! Make a new resolution, one of lifetime success! A resolution that lasts!

Yet, these same “sheep” profess they want more results! Lies, yes actual lies, because when presented with the truth and the facts, they stay in the broken track of so-called normalcy! GOING to the GYM …. But Going No Where…or “Being Typical…!”

YES, you know them, and all too well!

You, are you one of them? If so, can you admit it?

You know them, those individuals who are always talking about going to the “health club or gym,” you know, the club that really has got nothing to do with health!

You know, those money pits that possibly you and most attend! The place where it gives you nothing of real facts, let alone no real factual proven or proper instruction, but it wants and takes your money every month!

You know, the place people spend their hard-earned money for a “rental” of some space, exercise equipment, and a shower!

Or are you like those who are going to an exercise program, that’s definitely not showing any real results!

Or possibly you are going to that so-call trainer, that is exactly that, ”a trainer” who’s got “you trained,” to bring them a check/money while you haven’t changed at all in months!

Many of these “so-called” and “self-proclaimed trainers” will actually compete in physique contests doing some good, yet their clients never seem to change or show any visible improvements! So this proves the point that it’s important FOR RESULTS TO HAPPEN WITH THEM, and not their clients!

People should beware, of not just what these so-called trainers say they are, and “what they say they can do!” Most importantly, any prospective clients should actually research, what does the trainer actually deliver, and is it delivered on a consistent basis with all type of clients!

Without adequate and proper investigation, many individuals are DUPED! So, simply put,  “what’s your time, money and efforts worth?” NOT TO MENTION YOUR HEALTH! 

Did you ever really look around at the willingly misguided, and ignorant, doing their so-called exercises? Did you see, or notice all the ridiculous throwing, dropping and half range of movements being done? Kinetic, ballistic movements that do “nothing for really building strength,” but do cause a tremendous amount of injuries? That type of exercise does somewhat demonstrate strength, yet it does not “build strength!”

But hey, you and those are “working out!”

Did you ever stop to notice, how they do all the “extra or multiple sets?”

Why?… INSECURE to the max, are you and AREN’T THEY?

YES, the fact is a muscle can be “stimulated to change” with one set, yes ONE SET, DONE OR PUSHED TO A POINT OF STIMULUS FOR RESPONSE! (of course that point isn’t comfortable)

But hey, they are insecure, unlearned, and “so EGO driven” in place of FACT DRIVEN, so you are way better off, not even trying to say anything to “help them!”

IF, you do try to help them, their severe insecurity, due to lack of knowledge, will get a response that they obviously see you as saying, “they are wrong,” rather than seeing, you are sincere in really trying to help!

Of course, let’s not forget because many are insecure, and EGO driven, they will go so far as to try to “train their upper body one day, and their lower body the next day!” Now this is how ridiculous it can get, when EGO drives INSECURITY, that these lost logic lacking, individuals haven’t even researched or considered ANY FACTS!

Why? Well obviously if they TRAIN or EXERCISE their “upper body one day, and their lower body the next day,” shouldn’t they also just “FEED their upper body one day, and FEED their lower body the next day?”

BUT WAIT, shouldn’t they also just SLEEP or RECOVER their upper body one day and just SLEEP or RECOVER their lower body the next day?” (by the way, JUST HOW DO THEY DO THAT…) It just gets more and more ridiculous, especially when you study some basic physiology and proper applications!

Remember all basic logic and simple observation is “out the window” due to insecurity and ego!

I don’t get, how these types of DELUDED, demented, non-logical, and obviously UNTEACHABLES, can make it through day to day life without major help? They never bother to actually do any INDEPENDENT research or fact gathering, and yet continue without ANYTHING to show in actual, measurable results for all their time, and efforts, let alone nothing bettered about their health!

Our body requires three distinct process’s for response! Number one, is accumulation of materials for response(nutrition)! Number two, is time for processing materials for response! Number three is time for applying the repair or recovery!

Exercise is a “STRESS,” a triggering, a pushing beyond the momentary ability to “cause a hopeful, positive response (added strength or muscle)!” YET these insecure, unlearned, uneducated want, YES WANT, to believe their going to “dictate” to the body what they want it to do!”

It’s sad, and yet funny that they persist day after day, month after month with little to absolutely NOTHING TO SHOW! But HEY, they are there! REALLY…I MEAN, “REALLY?”

Watch when someone tries to offer fact-based help, their response is, NO, “I KNOW!”

So this drives me to ask them, “SO, if you know, why are you making NO PROGRES, and You LOOK THE SAME, so why do you come here? THE POINT HERE IS, ARE THEY DELUDED, STUPID, INSECURE, or ARROGANT or “ALL OF THESE?”  I know most of you get this!

There are great informational sources out there, for everyone to work with!

Too many people make a spontaneous or fast emotional decision about weight loss, or getting fit, or changing their physical performance levels. There are actual scientific factors, that must be applied in specific sequences, to gain specific responses! If training or exercising someone was so easy we would see so much more repeated, consistent, measurable results with many more individuals, BUT WE DON’T!

FACTS and proper applications are what always get results!

Lack of results for month after month, for those people working out in a facility or with a trainer says everything! Yes EVERYTHING!

When you see people training or being trained and see no results, even after months, it says someone is being taken, and if they are continuing the same program it shows either a SERIOUS LACK of INTELLIGENCE, or “they like” wasting efforts and money!

NO results, after weeks or months of efforts, says that facts are not being used, or that over training is taking place! Due to peoples EGO’S most never break this syndrome!

KNOW THIS….if you are exercising regularly and seeing NO RESULTS, then you are overtraining and over stressing the body so it CANNOT ADEQUATELY RESPOND!

THIS MEANS more damage than benefit is happening, while health is being compromised! FACT.

There are specific physiological “facts that when applied correctly” ALWAYS produce results!

Enough already, how stupid can people make themselves look?

I’ve been in the health and human physical performance field for over 45 years, and it is far more BACKWARD than progressive!

IF in doubt about what I am saying here, remember I wrote the book on Fitness Fraud,…… read it The Great Fitness Fraud. on amazon. Some will actually learn more, far more than their Trainer or Coach even know! In fact some could read the book and go back and really “school” their old so called trainer or coach!

People go out and join every new craze, getting no more or better results, yet they swear they are! Liars to themselves, liars to others, it’s beyond PATHETIC!

NOTE: Using a name or gaining a certification DOES NOT MAKE IT SO.

Programs that use ballistic movements or kinetic energy causing more injuries than good, and kinetic energy causing more stress than good, FACT! Look around at programs that use kettle bells being swung, barbells being rapidly moved, jumping up and down of box’s and the like, it’s all kinetic! IT’S A LAUGH, let them TRY TO DO THAT SLOW, WITH RESISTANCE using only strength. …..IT WON’T HAPPEN!

THOSE DOING SUCH AND WORSE those teaching such do not know the difference between DEMONSTRATING STRENGTH, and BUILDING IT!

These same FRAUDS that brag and teach such lies never ever will take a real challenge, but only TALK, TALK, AND TALK, BECAUSE THEY WANT THE “MONEY,” NOT THE CLIENTS BENEFIT!

Then there are the realities of testing, multiple testing, not a measurement here and a weigh in there, but again NO WAY are these frauds going to jeopardize their income!
